During the winter of 2020, we suddenly found ourselves isolated and alone, “sheltering in place” in the early days of the pandemic.

Using the (then still novel) platform of Zoom, Ari Kuschnir hosted a series of one-on-one conversations to ponder the questions that we were all asking ourselves — creating episodes on death, grief, initiation, and a new normal.

I helped Ari choose a name for his series, which he was planning to call Grounded, before deciding that Together would set a better tone. I designed a symbol incorporating the individual handwriting of his various guests — combining their unique characters to form the word “Together.”
