Sigwart is an illustrated story about an imaginary Icelandic log-tossing champion named Sigwart Gunngeir — who, through a string of increasingly unlikely coincidences, ends up traveling through all fifty American states in alphabetical order.

I initially created the story as part of my application for the internship program at This American Life (an early dream after college) — but never received a response. I briefly considered seeking a publisher, but soon set the project aside as my work began to shift towards data visualization.
